Overview

Dudhsagar Waterfall, located in the Indian state of Goa, is one of the most majestic and popular waterfalls in the country. Its name translates to "Sea of Milk" in English, owing to the frothy white appearance of the water as it cascades down the rocky cliffs.

The waterfall is situated within the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park, near the border with Karnataka. It is a four-tiered waterfall and is among the tallest waterfalls in India, with a height of around 310 meters (1,017 feet).

Dudhsagar is particularly stunning during the monsoon season when it is in full flow, presenting a breathtaking sight as the water plummets down amidst the lush greenery of the surrounding forest. Visitors often enjoy trekking or taking a train ride through the picturesque scenery to reach the waterfall, where they can swim in the natural pool at the base or simply admire its beauty from afar. It's not just a sight to behold but also offers a refreshing escape into nature for anyone seeking adventure or tranquility.
