Kaas plateau (Valley of Flowers)

The Kaas Plateau, also known as Kaas Pathar, is a stunning biodiversity hotspot located in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra, India. It is renowned for its unique seasonal wildflower bloom that covers the plateau in vibrant colors during the monsoon season, typically from late August to early October. The Kaas Plateau is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, recognized for its rich flora, including over 850 species of flowering plants, some of which are rare and endemic to the region.

The plateau spans around 1,000 hectares at an altitude of approximately 1,200 meters (3,937 feet) above sea level. The area is characterized by a lateritic soil that supports a wide variety of plant species. Apart from flowers, Kaas Plateau is also home to numerous species of insects, birds, amphibians, and reptiles, making it a haven for nature lovers and photographers.

Itinerary

Mumbai Itinerary -

Day 0

Mumbai Departure

On Saturday we starts our journey from Mumbai overnight Ac bus journey to Satara
09:00PM- Starts journey from Mumbai (Borivali - Goregaon - Andheri - Sion - Chembur - Vashi)

Day 1

04:00 AM: Arrival at the base village. Meet fellow Travellers . Use this time to rest, gear up, and prepare for the Exploration..
In the morning, we will arrive at kas plateau base vilage (Satara). Afterward, we will take a break to Changing and have a breakfast.
Following breakfast, we will initiate our journey towards Kaas Plateau Post Kaas explorations, we will explore the magnificent Thoseghar waterfall, followed by a lunch break. Afterward, we will proceed to Explore Sajjangad (Sajjangad visit totally depends on time if time permits then only we visit sajjangad)
Following our exploration we will initiate our return journey to Mumbai. We are scheduled to arrive in Mumbai in the 11:00PM in night marking the conclusion of our wonderful journey. (Subject to traffic conditions)

( Please carry Umbrella/ Raincoat / Poncho for sightseeing. we will give enough time to enjoy in safe waterfall )

Pune Itiernary -

Day 1

05:00AM- Starts journey from Pune (Shivaji nagar - Wakad - Navle Bridge ) Pick up details will be share in the Whatsapp group one day before departure or on the day of departure
09:00 AM: Arrival at the base village. Meet fellow Travellers . Use this time, gear up, and prepare for the Exploration..
In the morning, we will arrive at Kaas plateau base village (Satara). Afterward, we will take a break to Changing and have a breakfast.
Following breakfast, we will initiate our journey towards Kaas Plateau
Post Kaas explorations, we will explore the magnificent Thoseghar waterfall, followed by a lunch break. Afterward, we will proceed to Explore Sajjangad (If time permits)

Cancellation Policy

In case of cancellation from the organiser’s end (due to Lockdown, Or any Natural calamities including,snowstorms, thunderstorms, floods, landslides, earthquakes, bad weather or unexpected political unrest, terrorism activity, curfews, riots, or government orders), We will Refund the amount in 30 Days
In case a client wishes to change the trek date, Maharashtra Desha Adventure reserves the right to do so, provided the request is made 30 daysprior to the initial departure date.
Booking amount is Non-Refundable.
Refunds will be made within 7-14 working days from the date of cancellation
The refund amount will be calculated from the total fee, in case any partial payment has been made
No refund is applicable on cancellation if Advance Amount is Paid to Book the Trek.Cancellation charges are based on the total trek fee, irrespective of the amount paid either full or partial.
If the cancellation is from the client’s end at any point of time post the.registration refund will be provided as per the details mentioned below:-

Cancellation made 30 days before the trek/ Trip - 90% refund
Cancellation made between 29 days and 15 days before the trek- 50% cash refund
Cancellation made between 14 days and 1 day before the trek– No Refund,
If the Cancellation is made on the Starting day of the trek or there is no Show on the start day of trek, there will be No Refund

Terms and conditions

The company shall not be held liable for any additional charges incurred due to events such as accidents, vehicle breakdowns, riots, or train delays.
Additional fees may apply if the government issues new guidelines regarding hotel stays or transportation.
The schedule may be subject to change by the manager for the convenience of participants.
During the trip, the manager reserves the right to dismiss any individual who disrupts the harmony of the group. The company disclaims responsibility for any sightseeing cancellations resulting from natural disasters or man-made incidents.
Maharashtra Desha will not be accountable for any false or inaccurate information provided to government authorities.
Any discrepancies during the tour are the sole responsibility of the customer(s).
Customers must provide accurate and complete travel information, and any resulting consequences or additional charges will be borne by the customer.
Customers are required to submit photo ID proof for all travelers at the time of booking.
Final seating arrangements will be determined by the leader for the convenience of all participants.
